These Shrimp Lettuce Wraps are a delicious and healthy appetizer or light meal. The shrimp are cooked in a flavorful sauce with garlic, ginger, and Asian-inspired seasonings, then wrapped in crisp iceberg lettuce leaves.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sriracha sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, leaves separated
Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
Add minced garlic and ginger, saut for 1-2 minutes until fragrant
Add shrimp to the skillet, cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and sriracha sauce
Pour the sauce over the cooked shrimp, stir to coat evenly
Remove skillet from heat, stir in chopped green onions and cilantro
Spoon shrimp mixture onto lettuce leaves, wrap and serve immediately
