Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C
Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with coconut oil and line the bottom with parchment paper
In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, cocoa powder, coconut sugar, baking soda, and salt until well combined
Add almond milk, melted coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients
Stir until smooth and well combined
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
Once cooled, frost the cake with your favorite vegan frosting or dust with powdered sugar if desired
Slice and serve
